We are always in need of extra help - if you have some spare time and can help (even 30 minutes would be good), please speak to either Steve, Nicky, Deborah or Elaine.

A creche will be available in the church porch for parents who would like their pre-school children looked after during the first part of the service - children should be collected during the peace. The creche is being run by volunteer parents. If you are able to offer to help please contact Kathryn Sinclair.

The Youth team is seeking a couple of further volunteers willing to offer 2 hours of their time on a Sunday evening once a month or once a fortnight to support the Youth Club by running the ‘Café Space’ and helping with the admin. The team are doing a fantastic job (on our behalf) but need our support if the work is to be sustainable on a weekly basis. Please speak to Nicky, or phone 8460 2850.

Charity of the Month - Age Concern Bromley - who help to provide information and advice to oleder people, their relatives, careres and friends on issues affecting the elderly, including money matters, housing , health and community care.

Sunday 30th November Advent Service - This evening, at 6.30pm, we celebrate our main Advent Service. This is an important and always stimulating service, with readings, hymns and choral music anticipating the coming of Christ. This year we will be exploring how Jesus fulfils the role of his Old Testament antecedents.

Youth - 18:30 - 20:00 for the 11-13's and 14-17's meeting from 20:00 - 21:30. New members are welcome. is now open on a weekly basis.

Monday 1st December

Tuesday 2nd December CTiCB Forum , which is currently being organised by Cicely Gleave, meets today, at St Joseph’s RC Church, at 12.30. The speaker will be Chair of Bromley SACRE, Martin Sweet, talking about the role of churches in supporting RE in schools.

AIDS Day Services Two to choose from: both at 7.30pm this Tuesday, 2 December - a Diocesan Service in Rochester Cathedral, and a service at Bromley Parish Church being organised in partnership with the Beckenham “Junction” HIV Drop-in Centre.

The PCC Standing Committee meets next Tuesday, 9 December, at 8.00pm at the Vicarage

Any men in the congregation are invited to join the Men’s Group, meeting from 20:00 tonight, in the Bricklayer’s Arms pub, Masons Hill.

Wednesday 3rd December Lunch Club, today's speaker will be Michael Gleave, who will be giving an illustrated talk about his visit to the Galapagos Islands. All are welcome. Lunch begins at 12.00 noon

Thursday 4th December The Rev’d Chris Hingley, Rector of Petra Schools in Bulawayo will be talking about the plight of education in Zimbabwe, at 20:00 at Christ Church, Chislehurst. All welcome. Call Michael Insley on 020 8464 2076

Saturday 6th December 'St Mark’s Winter Fair' today in the Church from 11:00 to 13:30.
Raffle tickets will be on sale today.
We need: jars filled with sweets; DVDs, CDs and computer/electronic games (no videos please); new or unused items for the gift stall (no bric-a-brac); adult books in good condition; donations of money for prizes; and cakes and preserves.
We ask for your help on the day and from 9.30am on Friday setting up. Speak to Jeanette or Elaine.
Janice Carter is organising a sale of Christmas trees in the school playground, also on Saturday, from 11:30-14:30. Prices are promised to be lower than last year, with 25% of the sale price going to the school. The playground will be open to cars.

Sunday 7th December Our annual Toy Offering Service takes place today at 10.00. Your gifts of new toys are most welcome – unwrapped, please. Vouchers are also welcome. No soft toys. The toys will be distributed to needy families in Bromley

Sunday 14th December The Youth Club Christmas Party for special needs children will take place today from 15:00 - 17:00. They would be glad of adult help and any offerings of food you can make.

Youth is now on a break until January, we look forward to seeing you all again on the 11th January 2009, Thanks to everyone who has helped and attended throughout the year. Russell, Iain & Nicky. New members are welcome.

The Carers Group meets at 17:00 today, with Meditative Prayer at 18:00
