The Reading is 1 Corinthians 10 vv 1 - 13, read by Iain Whitlam and the Gospel is Luke 16 vv 1 - 19, read by Louise Bonter.

Our hymn is 'City of God, how broad and far' to the tune Richmond by Choir of St Mark's in an archive recording made in St Edmundsbury Cathedral  on 17th July 1999. The music is by Thomas Haweiss (1734 - 1802), harmonised by S. Webbe the younger (c1770 - 1843), with a descant by Alan Gray (1855 - 1935), to words by Samuel Johnson (1822 - 1882) 

Our anthem is 'Art thou troubled?' by Georg Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) from the opera Rodelinda The English words are by William Gurney Rothery (1858 - 1930).  It is sung by our Director of Music, Andrew Wilson (Tenor), accompanied by Nick Mannoukas (piano).

Our organist, Ralf Ayling-Miller,plays the concluding voluntary  - Greensleeves by Noel Rawsthorne (1929 - 2019).

Choral Evensong is a BBC R3 broadcast from St Martin's-in-the-Fields, London WC2. It is sung by the choir of St Bartholomew the Great, London. Details on our Services Page

There are currently two Sunday morning services, and with COVID hygiene and distancing precautions in place:

0900 Said Eucharist

(Holy Communion)

1030 Mattins (with music)

according to the Book of Common Prayer
