The Choir

St. Mark's Church hosts one of the finest church choirs in London. They maintain a wide repertoire of hymns and anthems to support Sunday worship. Several guest appearances at cathedrals in London and elsewhere testify to their high standing.

Salisbury Cathedral 26-29 June 2018

The choir completed a highly successful tour at Salisbury Cathedral, singing four full Choral Evensongs and a Sunday Eucharist. Songs included works by Mendelssohn, Bach, Sumsion and Harwood among others.

Performances were universally praised, not least because of the choir's great tone, an ambitious choice of music and its highly skilled execution.

Our fantastic choir leads us in worship every Sunday at the 10.00am Parish Eucharist during term time and at Choral Evensong usually on the fourth Sunday of the month at 6.30pm.

In 2019 the choir once again sang Choral Evensong at St. Paul's Cathedral, one of the most prestigious religious buildings in the world. In March of this year they sang Choral Evensong at Rochester Cathedral.

Choir practice is held on Thursdays:

Juniors 7.00 - 8:30pm; Adults 8.00 - 9:30pm

Enquiries are always welcome from potential new choir members.

The Choirmaster

Andrew Wilson has been leading the Choir for over twenty-five years. His experience and continuous engagement have made our church choir one of the best in London.

The Organist

Our in-house organist, Ralf Ayling-Miller, joined St. Mark's straight from university in 2016. His elegant and extremely attentive style immediately won over the hearts of our worshippers. Watch out for his voluntaries and occasional solo-performances!
